A Mediterranean climate in the south and a more continental climate in the north make the Pallars Jussà a land rich in landscapes. From the Montsec mountains to the southernmost part, passing through the Carreu and Boumort mountains as far as the highest peaks of the region including Peguera or Saburó exceeding 2,900 metres in height, home to a great diversity of flora and fauna.
